Accommodation for students in Lausanne
The FMEL has student housing available for Bachelor and Master students that is affordable and can be very well located (depending on the residence). However, there are rarely enough places relative to the number of applications. Applications for accommodation are not accepted continuously and are only opened during certain periods. Check this out early if you plan on coming to Lausanne as a student. It is one of the best possibilities to find reasonable accomodation as a student

EPFL and UNIL host an accommodation platform for new and returning students Bachelor/Master/PhD students as well as researchers. This platform has advertisements placed by residents of Lausanne looking to rent out a room and occasionally an entire apartment. Can be a very good place to start looking. But competition is high and many reasonably priced rooms get a lot of messages of interest (I used to rent a spare room on the platform for many years).
